I am an Assistant Professor in Universidad Autónoma de Madrid working in algebraic geometry, low-dimensional topology and singularity theory. The problems I find fascinating usually mix categories. Two mixes are particularly interesting to me: topological and smooth or analytic categories, and real vs. complex algebraic geometry.
